Aklilou Habte-Wold
The Columbia Encyclopedia, Sixth Edition
Aklilou Habte-Wold , 1912-74, Ethiopian government official. He held numerous posts, including those of minister of foreign affairs (1949-57) and prime minister (1961-74). In 1974 he was forced to resign during the civil and military disturbances that accompanied demands for reform, and in Dec., 1974, he was executed executed by the military.
