Mauritius will hold a four-day apparel trade show called MITEX, which will feature the products of 70 Mauritius apparel firms. The country's apparel sales to the US totaled $103 million during the year ending June 1992 and it is the world's third-largest supplier of knitwear, most of which it sells in Europe. MITEX is designed not only to introduce American buyers to Mauritius-made apparel, but also to find out what they want, according to Mauritius' officials.
