NORWAY CONDEMNS OIL SPILL IN BARENTS SEA.

The Norwegian government described as "totally unacceptable" on April 13 a major oil spill during prospecting in the highly vulnerable waters of the Barents Sea. Norway's state oil company Statoil had announced the previous day that the Eirik Raude drilling platform had accidentally discharged 1.6 tonnes of hydraulic oil into the Barents Sea.
