Cement Market
Last year, most of Texas escaped the cement shortage that plagued much of the nation -- partly because of our plentiful limestone deposits and numerous commercial suppliers, but also because of the record rainfall we experienced beginning in the fall of 2003. Contractors unable to work created little demand for materials.
