May 21--The restoration of U.S. diplomatic relations with Libya, while it no doubt will raise questions and unpleasant memories, is welcome, signaling a desire for normalization on both sides. If it also represents a shift toward realism over rhetoric in U.S. foreign policy it will be even more welcome.
