Jul. 4--If you're looking for a place to bask in the sun by day and enjoy fireworks by night, Jones Beach is the place for you this Fourth of July.

Jones Beach State Park is teaming up with North Fork Bank to put on one of the biggest annual fireworks displays on the South Shore. The 25-minute "Fireworks Spectacular," presented by Bay Fireworks of Huntington Station, will begin at 9:30 p.m. tonight, but some beachgoers at Jones Beach yesterday said they plan to make a day of it.
