Century Singers, chorale go for Baroque with symphony.

Oct. 26--The Brazos Valley Chorale and Texas A&M University's Century Singers on Sunday will join the Brazos Valley Symphony in performing two major works from the Baroque period: Johann Sebastian Bach's Magnificat in D and Antonio Vivaldi's Gloria.

Five soloists, including A&M Consolidated High School graduate Sasha Cooke, will lend their voices to the Magnificat.

The other soloists are soprano Lynelle Rowley, mezzo-soprano Katherine Ciesinski, tenor Carlos Vicente and bass Sam Handley.
