Barristers must outline legal costs

BARRISTERS will have to tell you how much they will cost as part of a major new drive to cut legal costs and increase competition.

The move represents a significant boost for consumers in that it is hoped it will create far greater competition.

The Bar Council -- the representative body for the country's barristers -- yesterday issued a ruling demanding that all barristers "price" their work.
