DAVAO CITY -- Despite strong protest by the different cities nationwide last Monday, Davao City remains uninvolved in the denunciation of the cut in internal revenue allotment (IRA) but has made a strong stand against the conversion of municipalities into cities.

Lawyer Wendel E. Avisado, city administrator, showed his protest although passively because he believes the acts of protest were not one to change the minds of the Congress.
