Longcroft rocks to live music spectacular.

TOP 80s band Eddie and the Hot Rods set Beverley Longcroft School rocking, and paved the way for more live music events at the school's 400-seat theatre.

The band played two gigs last Friday, one for pupils from Beverley's three secondary schools and the other for parents and local residents. Dozens of pupils from local schools also took part in workshops led by the group.

Longcroft spokesman Alan Cowley said it is now planned to bring other live music acts to the school, helping to plug a gap in live entertainment in the town since the closure of the Picture Playhouse.
