CHARLIE Wing flew to victory as she defeated reigning champion Lotte Christie at the Peterborough Primary Schools' Cross-Country Championships.

The William Law student came home with five seconds to spare although Christie had the consolation of leading Bourne Westfield School to a successful defence of their team title. Wing enjoyed a fine winter with

Werrington Joggers and was third in the Under 11 category at the Lincs Cross-Country League.

And she went into the race with confidence after running the fourth stage as William Law broke the course record in the Soke ...
