Udaipur
Udaipur City on Lake Pichola, Rajasthan, nw India. In 1586 it was made capital of the princely state of Udaipur by Udai Singh. The walled city has three palaces. It is an agricultural market and a centre for textiles. Pop. (2001) 389,317.
