Bhilainagar
Bhilainagar (bē´līnəgər) or Bhilai (bē´lī), city (1991 pop. 398,799), Chhattisgarh state, central India. It is the site of a large state-owned steel industry, built with Soviet assistance in the 1950s. Other manufactures include cement, chemicals, and wood products. The city has been extensively modernized.
