Halicarnassus
Halicarnassus an ancient Greek city on the SW coast of Asia Minor, at what is now the Turkish city of Bodrum. It was the birthplace of the historian Herodotus and is the site of the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus (see mausoleum), one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
