glaciotectonics
1. The study of structures within a glacier. These may be identified by contorted layers of rock debris. They are most common when a glacier is frozen to its bed and can move only by thrusting and folding.

2. The study of structures imposed on bedrock by glacial movement and on drift by both movement and the loss of support that occurs on melting.
