Randle, Thomas
Randle, Thomas , American tenor; b. Los Angeles, Dec. 21, 1958. He received vocal training in Los Angeles, and then pursued a career as a soloist with major Orch.s. in North America and Europe. In 1988 he made his operatic debut as Tamino with the English National Opera in London, and in 1989 he sang in The Fairy Queen at the Aix-en-Provence Festival. After appearing as Tamino at the Glyndebourne Festival in 1991, he returned to the English National Opera in 1992 to create the role of Dionysius in Buller’s Bakxai. In 1994 he sang in the premiere of Schafs Symposium with the Netherlands Opera in Amsterdam. He was engaged as Idomeneo at the Scottish Opera in Glasgow in 1996. Throughout these years, he continued to appear frequently in concerts.
