Weidt, Lucie (b Troppau, c.1880; d Vienna, 1940). Austrian soprano, later mez., whose father was a conductor and composer. Member of Vienna Opera 1902–27, taking over Mildenburg's roles under Mahler régime. Celebrated Leonore in Fidelio. First Vienna Marschallin. Sang Brünnhilde (Der Ring) at NY Met 1910–11 season and in Buenos Aires 1912. Created Nurse in Die Frau ohne Schatten, Vienna 1919.
