12. An unsung female war hero
This extraordinary moment in history rarely gets shared. Sybil Ludington, the 16 year old daughter of a Colonel rode thru the night to rally the soldiers under her father’s command. It’s estimated she rode up to 40 miles on horseback, thru the middle of night and a heavy downpour to aide in the Revolution. While her male counterpart, Paul Revere, rode less and was double her age got lots of recognition for his great feat, Sybil did not.
