Most everyone knows about the extraordinary moment in history when Neil Armstrong and other astronauts from the Apollo 11 flew to the moon. Fewer people know that Neil Armstrong had with him some parts from the very first aircraft. According to reports, he made his choice to show respect for the men who made it possible. The Wright Brothers had flown the first aircraft less than 70 years before the first trip to the moon. With borrowed artifacts from the Smithsonian in his pack, Armstrong made history in more than one way.
