This unbelievable photo from history isn’t one often talked about. Pictured here is Queen Elizabeth II training in London to a mechanic for the armed forces. As a young 18 year old, she chose to join the Women’s Auxiliary Territorial Service to help defend her country. During the same time that World War II was fought, the Princess drove her own military truck and serviced equipment. The mechanic history of the Princess has been kept a secret but she is the only female member of the British Royal Family to serve in their forces.
