Leon the Lion and his roar became a symbol for good and wholesome television. It’s reported that he was quite the actor, only needed one take to get the shot they wanted. Apparently, getting the shot was more simple than anyone had imagined. They simply brought the lion into the studio and shot him roaring into the camera.
