36. 9 Kings gather
When the oldest son of Queen Victoria died, more than one country mourned. Kings from 9 countries are pictured in this unbelievable photo from history. They gathered together not to negotiate trade or discuss treaties. Instead they gathered to mourn the death of a very popular leader. King Edward VII died on May 6, 1910. Seen as his funeral were the Kings of Norway, Bulgaria, Greece, Spain, Belgium, Denmark, Great Britain, the German Empire and Portugal. Today, it’s rare to see a leader respected enough that other leaders mourn their deaths. Then again, respect looked a lot different in 1910 than it does these days.
