This unbelievable photo from history marks the creation of an entirely new type of clothing. Picture here is Louis Reard and one of the first bikini models. In 1946, Reard invented a 2 piece swimsuit for women. No one is sure why the bikini was needed, but we all know that it certainly took off. Some sources say that he called his creation the bikini because he knew how successful it would be.
