Description:

State and locally supported, comprehensive, coed. Part of City University of New York System. Awards bachelor's and master's degrees and post-master's certificates. Founded 1930. Setting: 26-acre urban campus. Total enrollment: 15,384. Faculty: 1,066 (510 full-time, 556 part-time). Student-undergrad faculty ratio is 15:1. 7,083 applied, 33% were admitted. 14% from top 10% of their high school class, 35% from top quarter, 66% from top half. Full-time: 7,909 students, 59% women, 41% men. Part-time: 3,263 students, 63% women, 37% men.
