Independent Roman Catholic, comprehensive, coed. Awards associate, bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees and post-master's certificates (profile includes figures from both traditional and accelerated (part-time) programs). Founded 1924. Setting: 45-acre suburban campus. Endowment: $5.1 million. Educational spending 2003-04: $7952 per student. Total enrollment: 1,679. Faculty: 230 (69 full-time, 161 part-time). Costs Per Year:

Application fee: $35. Comprehensive fee: $27,880 includes full-time tuition ($19,660), mandatory fees ($720), and college room and board ($7500). Chestnut Hill College is located in a 45-acre suburban setting of Philadelphia. Historic homes, a regional art museum, a well-respected arboretum, stables, and quaint specialty shops are within two miles of the campus, which is 30 minutes from Center-city Philadelphia. Villanova University, Saint Joseph's University, the University of Pennsylvania, Drexel University, and LaSalle University are nearby.
