Description:

State and locally supported, 2-year, coed. Awards certificates, transfer associate, and terminal associate degrees. Founded 1946. Required for some: high school transcript, minimum 2.0 high school GPA, ACT composite score of 21, 1 lab chemistry and algebra for admission into nursing and radiography programs. In the heart of Cumberland Valley, Hagerstown is manufacturing city nestled at an intersection of highway interstates and rail transportation. All forms of commercial transportation are available. Recreational facilities are numerous. Points of interest are Antietam Battlefield, Old Ft. Frederick State Park, Hager House, and Washington County Museum of Fine Arts. Special events include the annual Halloween Mummer's Parade.
