Halifax Community College was founded in 1967. It is accredited by Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. It first offered distance learning courses in 1999. Non-credit— business administration, management and operations; computer software and media applications; computer systems networking and telecommunications; data entry/microcomputer applications; education (specific levels and methods).
