Independent, 4-year, men only, affiliated with Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). Awards bachelor's degrees. Founded 1776. Setting: 660-acre rural campus with easy access to Richmond. Costs Per Year:

Application fee: $30. Comprehensive fee: $30,316 includes full-time tuition ($21,878), mandatory fees ($1068), and college room and board ($7370). College room only: $3116. Room and board charges vary according to board plan and housing facility. Part-time tuition: $704 per credit hour.
