Description:
State and locally supported, 2-year, coed. Part of Nebraska Coordinating Commission for Postsecondary Education. Awards certificates, diplomas, transfer associate, and terminal associate degrees. Founded 1974. Setting: 172-acre urban campus. Endowment: $1.4 million. Educational spending 2003-04: $2551 per student. Total enrollment: 12,461. Student-undergrad faculty ratio is 13:1. 3,674 applied, 100% were admitted. Full-time: 4,798 students, 56% women, 44% men. Orientation program. Student services: personal-psychological counseling. Campus security: 24-hour emergency response devices and patrols, late night transport-escort service, security on duty 9 pm to 6 am. College housing not available.
