Description: Independent, comprehensive, specialized, coed. Part of New School University. Awards associate, bachelor's, and master's degrees. Founded 1896. Setting: 2-acre urban campus. System endowment: $114.9 million. System-wide research spending 2001-02: $6.4 million. System-wide educational spending 2001-02: $8218 per student. Total enrollment: 2,958. Faculty: 759 (48 full-time, 711 part-time). Student-undergrad faculty ratio is 10:1. 1,630 applied, 42% were admitted. Full-time: 2,331 students, 76% women, 24% men.
