Diadochi
Diadochi the six Macedonian generals of Alexander the Great (Antigonus, Antipater, Cassander, Lysimachus, Ptolemy, and Seleucus), among whom his empire was eventually divided after his death in 323 bc. The word comes from Greek diadokhoi ‘successors’.
