re-entrant
re-entrant. Two faces of a building meeting at an external angle form a salient, while two walls meeting at an internal angle form a re-entrant. An external angle or salient with an internal angle formed in it, as though, on plan, a small square had been removed from the angle of the building, is a re-entrant.
