blusher The common name for the fruit body of Amanita rubescens. It is mushroom-shaped, with a reddish-brown or brown cap bearing scattered whitish patches (remnants of the universal veil). The flesh turns pink or reddish on breaking or bruising. The stem is white. It is common on ground in woodland during late summer and autumn.
