Jaczynowska, Katarzyna (1875–1920)
Polish pianist. Born in Stawle, Poland, in 1875; died in 1920; studied with Anton Rubinstein.
Born in Stawle, Poland, in 1875, Katarzyna Jaczynowska's talent brought her to the attention of Anton Rubinstein, and she studied with him from 1883 through 1894. She studied an additional two years with Leschetizky in Vienna. She then embarked on a very successful virtuoso career throughout Central Europe. Starting in 1912, she taught a master class at the Warsaw Conservatory.
