Grand duchess of Tuscany . Name variations: Camilla de Medici. Flourished in the 1570s; mistress, then wife, of Cosimo I de Medici, grand duke of Tuscany (1519–1574), around 1571; children: Giovanni de Medici (d. 1621); Virginia d'Este (who married Cesare d'Este, duke of Modena). Cosimo's first wife was Eleonora de Medici (1522–1562).
