Born in 1369; died in childbirth on July 4, 1394, at Peterborough Castle, Cambridgeshire, England; buried at Leicester; daughter of Humphrey de Bohun, earl of Hereford, and Joan Fitzalan (d. 1419); sister of Eleanor Bohun (1366–1399, who married Thomas of Woodstock); married Henry Bolingbroke, later Henry IV, king of England (r. 1399–1413); children: Henry (1387–1422) also known as Prince Hal, later Henry V, king of England (r. 1413–1422); Thomas, duke of Clarence (1388–1421); John, duke of Bedford (1389–1425); Humphrey, duke of Gloucester (1390–1447); Blanche (c. 1392–1409, who married Louis, duke of Bavaria); Philippa (1394–1430, who married Eric VII, king of Denmark).
Mary de Bohun, daughter and co-heir of Humphrey de Bohun, earl of Hereford and Essex, married Henry Bolingbroke, but died a few years before he became king of England as Henry IV. Henry then married Joanna of Navarre (c. 1370–1437).
