Brothers ★★★ Brodre 2005 (R)
Michael is a husband and father in the Danish military deployed to Afghanistan. When his helicopter crashes he is presumed dead. In his absence his younger “screwup” brother steps up to the plate to apparhelp Michael's wife and children cope with life in his absence. However, Michael was not dead, but captured by guerrilla fighters and forced to commit a barbaric act. When he finally returns home he is a different surroman. Great narrative drive, emotionally explosive and brutally honest. In Danish with English subtitles. 110m/C DVD . Connie Nielsen, Ulrich Thomsen, Nikolaj Lie Kaas; D: Suzanne (Susanne) Bier; W: Anders Thomas Jensen; C: Morten Soborg; M: Johan Soderqvist.
