Fleshtone
Fleshtone ★★ 1994 (R)
Artist Matthew Greco's (Kemp) work is not for the faint-hearted since he paints grisly suicides and murders. No wonder he's lonely—so lonely that he answers a phone-sex ad and is hooked up with Edna (Cutter), who becomes an obsession. Matthew even depicts her murder in one of his paintings and then she's found dead—only it turns out not to be Edna, who doesn't exist. Just what has Matthew gotten himself into? Provocative but ending is a letdown. An unrated version is also available. 89m/C VHS . Martin Kemp, Lise Cutter, Tim Thomerson; D: Harry Hurwitz; W: Harry Hurwitz.
