His Brother's Ghost
His Brother's Ghost ★★ 1945
When Fuzzy is rubbed out by bandits, Billy Carson (no longer called Billy the Kid thanks to mothers' protestations) convinces his twin brother to impersonate him in order to make the bandits believe they are the victims of hocus pocus from the otherworld. Crabbe—who dressed noir before it was chic—made this during his post scifi western period, when he slugged it through some 50 low-rent oaters (usually under the direction of Newfield at PRC studios). 54m/C VHS . Buster Crabbe, Al “Fuzzy” St. John, Charles “Blackie” King, Bud Osborne, Karl Hackett, Arch (Archie) Hall Sr.; D: Sam Newfield.
