Báthy, Anna
Báthy, Anna, Hungarian soprano; c. Beregszász, June 13, 1901; d. Budapest, May 20, 1962. She went to Budapest, where she studied at the Academy of Music. In 1928 she made her operatic debut as Elisabeth in Tannhäuser at the Municipal Theater. In 1929 she joined the Budapest Opera, where she sang mostly Verdi and Wagner roles.
