Belloc-Giorgi, Teresa (née Maria Teresa Ottavia Faustina Trombetta)
Belloc-Giorgi, Teresa (née Maria Teresa Ottavia Faustina Trombetta), Italian mezzo-soprano of French descent; b. San Benigno Cavánese, near Turin, July 2, 1784; d. San Giorgio Cavanese, May 13, 1855. She made her debut in Turin in 1801, then sang in Paris in 1803, and at La Scala, Milan, from 1804 to 1824. She then toured through Italy, and also appeared in Paris and London. She retired in 1828. Her repertoire comprised roles in 80 operas, Rossini’s being her favorites.
