Coletti, Filippo, noted Italian baritone; b. Anagni, May 11, 1811; d. there, June 13, 1894.He studied with Alessandro Busti in Naples, making his debut there at the Teatro del Fondo in Rossini’s Il Turco in Italia in 1834. He subsequently established himself as a distinguished interpreter of roles in operas by Bellini, Donizetti, and Verdi.
