Crécquillon, Thomas (b c.1490; d ?Béthune, 1557). Fr.-Flemish composer. Probably choirmaster to Emperor Charles V. Wrote over 200 chansons, over 100 motets, 12 masses, and other church mus. Regarded as one of leading composers of post-Josquin Desprès generation.
