Dall'Abaco, Evaristo Felice (b Verona, 1675; d Munich, 1742). It. composer. In Modena 1696–1701. Was at Bavarian court in Munich as cellist in 1704, and followed defeated Elector, Maximilian II, to Netherlands and then to France, where court was est. in 1709. Returned to Munich with Elector 1715, became leader of court orch. until retirement 1740. His mus. showed Fr. influence. Comp. 12 vn. sonatas (1706); 12 concerti da chiesa for 4 str. (1714); 6 concerti da chiesa and 6 concerti da camera for 3 str. (1715); 12 sonate da camera, vn. and vc. (1716); and a vn. conc. (1730).
