Doktor Faust. Opera in 2 prols., interlude, and 3 scenes by Busoni to his own lib., comp. 1916–24, the final scene being completed by Jarnach. Prod. Dresden (Busch) 1925, London (concert) 1937, (stage, ENO) 1986, NY (concert) 1964, Reno (stage) 1974. A new completion by Antony Beaumont (1984), based on hitherto unknown sketches for the missing scenes acquired from Jarnach in 1974, was prod. Bologna 1985 and also used in ENO prod. (1986).
