Donaudy, Stefano, composer; b. Palermo (of a French father and an Italian mother), Feb. 21, 1879; d. Naples, May 30, 1925. He was a pupil at the Palermo Cons, of G. Zuelli from 1896 to 1900. He wrote the operas Folchetto (Palermo, 1892), Scampagnata (Palermo, 1898), Theodor Korner (Hamburg, Nov. 27,1902), Sperduti ml buio (Palermo, April 27, 1907), Ramuntcho (Milan, March 19, 1921), and La Fiamminga (Naples, April 25, 1922), as well as a symphonic poem, Le Reve de Polysende, 12 airs de style ancien for Voice and Piano, and numerous piano pieces.
