Horák, Eduard, Bohemian pianist and teacher, brother of Adolph Horak; b. Holitz, April 22, 1838; d. Riva, Lake of Garda, Dec. 16, 1892. With his brother he founded in Vienna the Horâk Pianoforte School, which soon acquired a European reputation. In collaboration with F. Spigi, he publ. Der Klavier Unterricht in neue, nat naturliche Bahnen gelenkt (2 vols., Vienna, 1892), and with his brother, a practical manual, Klavierschule.
