La Casinière, Yves de
La Casinière, Yves de, French composer, music publisher, administrator, and teacher; b. Angers, Feb. 11, 1897; d. Paris, Oct. 28, 1971. He settled in Paris, where he studied with Boulanger (organ), Caussade (counterpoint and fugue), and dOllone (composition and harmony) at the École de Normale d Musique. In 1935 he became founder-president of the Editions du Musagète. He was also active as an administrator and teacher. Among his works were 2 syms. (1922, 1930), chamber music, piano pieces, and songs.
