Lambardi, Francesco, Italian tenor, organist, and composer, son ofCamillo Lambardi; b. Naples, c. 1587; d. there, July 25, 1642. He became a treble (1599) and an alto (1600) at the Santa Casa dell’Annunziata in Naples. He was made a tenor at the royal chapel (1607), and then served as its organist (1615–42); was also maestro di cappella of the Pietà dei Turchini Cons. (1626–30) and S. Maria della Nova (1628). In 1623 he founded a singing school. He publ. 2 sets of villanelle for 3 to 5 Voices (Naples, 1607, 1614) and a book of canzonette for 1 and 3 to 5 Voices (Naples, 1616).
