Munclinger, Milan
Munclinger, Milan, Czech flutist and conductor; b. Kosice, July 3, 1923; d. Prague, March 30, 1986. He began to study the flute in his youth, then enrolled at the Prague Cons.; also studied at the Prague Academy of Musical Arts and the Univ. of Prague. He gained distinction as founder-conductor of the Ars Ridiviva ensemble (1951), with which he gave performances of the Baroque and Classical repertoires with much success; also toured widely with his ensemble.
